Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska Emergency Services Building
2025 Award of Excellence Winner
This 25,000-square-foot emergency services facility brings together fire, EMS, and disaster response operations for the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska in a single resilient structure.
Precast concrete was selected for its durability, speed of construction, and ability to support long-span apparatus bays. Cultural identity is reflected through textured precast panels and embedded brickwork, while cast-in-place and polished concrete floors expose local aggregates and support heavy emergency vehicles with integrated heating systems.
The project demonstrates how concrete can unify resilience, cultural meaning, and operational performance.
